Emerging technologies that link the world together are not ethically neutral, but often have long-term implications for viability of natural systems, human rights and our common future.

Facts
It is somewhat of a paradox to talk about information and communication technologies in Africa when many people, particularly in rural areas, don't even have access to electricity. When you are hungry, the priority is food, meeting basic needs, struggling to survive and not the latest technologies
